Spirit Bells have a very rich history across multiple spiritual and religous belief systems spanning hundreds of years and several parts of the world. The exact origin is a little bit unclear but they are believed to act as a protection against entities as well as a tool of communication among benevolent spirits. 
 
Traditionally they are hung near the entrace to a home or building altough you can hang them wherever you feel drawn to. This strand is has 3 bells, a crystal, key and feather.  It is made from twine and embroidery thread and is very jingly.
